There's some bad news coming out from a new report by KPMG. It appears that a majority of workplaces will look to cut jobs in the future. The study revealed that 60% of managers are currently trying to cut costs due to the rough economy. 53% mentioned that cutting jobs was one possible way. This could mean that the cuts in redundancies witnessed in construction and finance may soon spread to other markets. There's also another chilling point made in the study. Of all the organizations which were interviewed for the study, about 80% operated in areas outside London. Such troubled news from this outlying companies mean that all the recent credit issues disrupting London are spreading to the rest of the country. Vantage, a US based research firm, conducted a similar study for Management Actions Programs. They also found that CEOs mainly just want a solid grounding for their company due to all the economic troubles they face. Business risks are out of the question for the time being.
